But I’m not sure how helpful that is to a Queen if not paired with Interpersonal.I believe Prince Albert was incredibly intelligent in many categories. Her diaries were pretty self-focused, which may indicate an intrapersonal intelligence. And will give my two cents as to where each person may have had their strengths of intelligence.I haven’t read anything about Queen Victoria that suggests she had any significant intelligence other than perhaps Musical (she played the piano well). So, that’s Intrapersonal.I’ll be liberal with the term and call ‘recent memory’ the time from Queen Victoria. ![]() And they need to be self-reflective, and be good judges of character. So, that’s Interpersonal (Emotional) Intelligence. There is the need to be empathetic, to put themselves in the shoes of people with very different backgrounds from themselves, and to be sensitive to injustice. ![]() People who have that type of intelligence do well in school, because that’s what is tested and graded.As relates to the royal family, you could argue that the types of intelligence that would put them in the best stead for their roles are numbers 2, 4 and 5.They need to be excellent conversationalists, and it certainly benefits if they do it with humor. Musical (compose and read music almost naturally, strong memory for song melodies)The traditional education system really only focuses on items 1 and 2 Math and Verbal. And the result can be that people are judged as ‘unintelligent’ because they don’t score well in what is tested and graded, which does not include all types of intelligence.Apparently there are seven types of intelligence.They are:1 Logical-Mathematical (Math, logic, organizing concepts)2 Verbal-Linguistic (Strong writing, explain clearly, humorous)3 Visual-Spatial (Artistic, detail-oriented, good with puzzles)4 Interpersonal - (Empathetic, Sociable, Kind, sensitive to injustice)5 Intrapersonal (deep thinkers, self-critical, good judge of character)6 Body-kinesthetic (sports, acting, dancing, coordinated)7. Partially because I was recently reading about different types of intelligence, and how traditional education focuses on just a few. ![]()
